The flight simulator PSPK-1 with a moving cockpit is designed to simulate various regimes of flight including critical ones (stall, spin, and low speed regimes, etc ) of maneuverable airplanes for the purpose of investigating handling characteristics, control systems development and pilot personnel training for critical flight regimes.
Cockpit:
Visual System (Wide-Angle Projection System):
“Earth-Sky”, consisting of light point source, a transparency and spherical screen of 10 m in diameter. Images of horizon line, sky and earth surface visible from the altitude of 3-4 kilometres are generated on the screen, horizontal and vertical field of view is 180 degrees. Rolling and heading angles variation is unrestricted; pitch angle variation is from – 45 to + 90 degrees.
Cockpit Motion System:
with 5 degrees of freedom and the following displacements:

Capabilities:
Cockpit:
- a model of a maneuverable airplane cockpit with electromechanical flight instruments;
- central control column and pedals with a spring system for load application and trimming mechanisms;
- a side stick with a spring system for load application;
- engine control levers.

- 2 lower level computers;
- interface device (64 channels of Digital-Analogue Transducer and 20 channels of Analogue-Digital Transducer).
