28 May 2021
On May 15, 2021, TsAGI’s (a part of NRC “Zhukovsky Institute”) Demonstration Center participated for the first time in ‘Night of Museums’, the all-Russian annual action organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and by Culture.ru, the portal on Russian cultural heritage and traditions.
In three hours, the Demonstration Center was visited by almost 500 people—which is an unprecedentedly large number. Children and adults folded and launched paper airplanes, listened to a themed tour on TsAGI’s competencies and its outstanding scientists, as well as participated in an interactive lecture.
Ivan Amelyushkin, Senior Researcher (TsAGI) showed spectacular physical experiments illustrating the nature of electricity, demonstrated experiments with magnets, etc. During the evening, the guests could see industrial promo clips, and a film about TsAGI.
‘The Night of Museums has become a real holiday for all those interested in science and aviation. We are grateful to all the visitors: to TsAGI employees, to Zhukovsky citizens, to guests from Ramenskoye, Lyubertsy and even from Kolomna; to Zhukovsky youth parliament members; to students, schoolchildren and preschoolers,’ said Ekaterina Rostovtseva, Head of Social Development and Corporate Culture (TsAGI).
