TsAGI delegates visit XIII International Helicopter Industry Exhibition — HeliRussia 2020

HeliRussia, the largest industrial event in Europe and North Asia that includes both extensive exhibition and business programs, took place in September in Moscow and was traditionally organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
During the event TsAGI held meetings with some of its partners. TsAGI Deputy General Director for Implementation of Flight Safety Technologies Oleg Ganyak, Head of Flight Safety Complex Valery Sukhanov and Director of Unmanned Aircraft System Research Center (UAS RC) Vladimir Shibaev took part in the roundtable “Unmanned Aircraft Systems in the framework of economic development”. During the meeting experts discussed problematic issues of using unmanned aircraft vehicles for civil purposes in various sectors of economy and exchanged opinions on promising areas for UAS development. In particular, technologies, regulation, certification, the issues of integrating UAS into a single airspace, etc. were considered.
In the framework of the event Deputy Director for International Cooperation of TsAGI Alexander Dvoynikov chaired a meeting with the representatives of the French Embassy: Attaché for civil aviation and aeronautics Jacques Weyant and President of Nauka Innov Center Adrien Danière. The parties updated the agreements on TsAGI cooperation with French research centers and agreed on TsAGI participation in Franco-Russian Economic, Financial, Industrial and Trade Council (CEFIC) in 2020. Also, other topics were discussed, such as annual TsAGI-ONERA scientific seminar and participation in mutual research projects of Horizon 2020, the 8th EU Framework Programme.
HeliRussia was held in Moscow, September 15-17th. Chair of the Supervisory Board of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”, President of the Union of Aviation Industrialists of Russia Boris Aleshin took part in the opening ceremony of the event. First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Vladimir Kozhin, Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Bocharov, Deputy Head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexey Novgorodov were among other guests.
More than 150 companies from 11 countries took part in the event. Apart from the Russian companies, Bell, an American helicopter developer and manufacturer, as well as Dassault Systems (France), a world leader in the development of software solutions for 3D-design and product lifecycle management, presented their products.
