FACRI visits TsAGI
14 June 2019
A delegation of the Flight Automatic Control Research Institute (FACRI) visited the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”) in early June. The event was a part of the current contract started in 2018 and aimed at carrying out calculated and experimental evaluations of stability and controllability for a Chinese single-rotor helicopter.
The purpose of the meeting was TsAGI’s report presentation based on the early stage of the work. The parties also developed a joint research program involving FACRI’s and TsAGI’s flight simulators. In addition to the talks, the Russian and Chinese partners visited one of flight simulators at TsAGI museum.
FACRI (Flight Automatic Control Research Institute) was founded in 1960. It is located in Xi’an (China) and is a part of the Chinese Aeronautical Academy (CAE.) The institute has become TsAGI’s constant partner since 1993. During the years of cooperation on a contractual basis TsAGI has fulfilled operations at flight simulators on stability and control of flying machines, as well as their control and safety systems.
