A delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation visits TsAGI.

A delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation visited the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”) in February 14. It was a part of the working visit for the authorities’ representatives to the Zhukovsky Urban District.
Heads of scientific and research, development and production organizations of the city participated in a joint meeting at the TsAGI Technopark.
In his opening speech, the Director of the Department of special programs for the development of State Research Centers and Scientist Cities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Vadim Medvedev noted the significance of the Zhukovsky Urban District as the all-Russian center for research, experiments and pilot work in the aviation industry and related industry sectors of the radio electronics and instrument making industry. He emphasized TsAGI’s role and noted its international stardom.
TsAGI Director General and Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Kirill Sypalo noted in his report: “TsAGI has developed a top-ranked reputation and strong scientific links with major research centers in Russia and all over the world. The conventional sectoral focus is being changed; our scientists’ publishing activity is evolving. We create open research platforms, and the TsAGI Technopark is its good example. Its presentation was timed to coincide with the centenary of the Institute. All this will achieve synergy and customize federal and regional innovative tools.”
There were also discussed the strategy implementation of Zhukovsky’s social and economic development, the participation of scientific organizations of Zhukovsky in the implementation of the national project “Science”, future development of the innovative ecosystem Science City Zhukovsky.
