TsAGI Delegation discussed the collaboration with Brazilian colleagues

During the 31st Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS 2018) in Brazil the representatives of Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute visited Embraer Company and Instituto de Aeronáutica e Espaço (IAE).
At Embraer, the representatives of Zhukovsky Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute were received by Daniel Moczydlower, Vice President Technology Development & Engineering and Technology Centers of Embraer, and Henrique Langenegger, Chief Engineer Senior Vice President of Embraer. During the visit, Sergey Chernyshev, Chief Scientific Officer of TsAGI, member of Russian Academy of Sciences and the Embraer executives discussed strategic oversight and the possibility for future bilateral cooperation, particularly, testing of Embraer aircraft models in TsAGI wind tunnels and aeroelasticity studies.
‘The history cooperation between TsAGI and Embraer goes as far as about 20 years back. Our collaboration is marked with mutual understanding, constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation on the front line of scientific and technological progress,’ said Sergey Chernyshev.
Negotiations with IAE specialists focused on the participation in coordinated calls provided by BRICS Framework program for cooperation in science, technology and innovation (BRICS STI Programme). There was another considerable discussion over plans of bilateral commercial cooperation that involves comparative wind tunnel tests in TsAGI and IAE to assess the reliability of obtained results.
