More than a thousand of children had a holiday in the TsAGI jurisdictional camp “Salut”

31 August 2018

Children’s leisure and health promotion is an integral part of the corporate policy of the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI.) This year 1043 children from 6 to 15 years have had a holiday in the children’s camp “Salut.”

For TsAGI centenary the “Salute” members developed an extensive educational and sportive program. Four thematic sessions were combined under the single motto “We will teach you fly!”

The first session was organized in a socio-dramatic play format. The activity counselors turned into “deans” and their pupils into “students.” The children had “exams” and participated in “seminars.” The “session” was held in the form of a summary concert. The session was called “Podmoskovny University” Salute “and Ko,” or simply “PUSK.”

The “Design Bureau” was a highlight of the second “Tournament of great inventors” session, where children got engaged in scientific creativity. During the third “Magic of flight” session children created “universal fuel” and ran aircraft models into the sky. The fourth session subject was “back to the future,” it was about space and planetary mysteries.

“2018 summer health campaign is over,” said Alexander Agapov, the Director of the children’s camp “Salute.” “Every session was awash with the spirit of TsAGI centenary. But the main thing, of course, is childcare, their health and development. The numerous events organized during summer holidays served as an important element in career guidance and drew attention to aviation among the youth.”

“Salut” health complex is located in Volodarsky village of Leninsky district in Moscow region, Russia, in a historic in a natural-historic park of Kazan forest-park. The pedagogical team is formed by the Moscow Activity Counselor School “Pokolenie 21” and includes experienced teachers, psychologists, and counselors with experience from 3 to 20 years.
