UAC delegation visits TsAGI

In the beginning of August a delegation of the Public Joint Stock Company United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) visited the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI.) The aim of the visit was to strengthen cooperation between the two companies and raise the awareness of UAC staff about the activities of TsAGI — the key partner in the air transport development and design.
TsAGI’ s specialists briefed their colleagues with the Institute’s history, spoke about the exciting research projects and showed them the experimental base facilities. The UAC delegation toured TsAGI’s vertical spin tunnel and Europe’s largest subsonic wind tunnel, where large-scale items are tested. In addition, the guests were shown the endurance testing hall and static testing hall — the places where TsAGI tests the strength of modern aircraft, such as the Sukhoi Superjet 100, MC-21, etc.
According to the delegation members, a visit to the alma mater of Aeronautical Science of Russia, the knowledge of its capabilities and extensive scientific heritage contributes to the development of scientific and engineering personnel in the industry. UAC officers also noted the unique and excitement of the tours.
