MIPT Winter physico-mathematical school "Absolute Future" visit TsAGI

Students of the Aerospace Technology Department of the MIPT Winter School of physics and mathematics “Absolute Future” visited the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center “Zhukovsky Institute”). The Institute introduced its young visitors to the subsonic aerodynamic wind tunnel. Participants visited the flight simulator and learned about flight testing performed in the static and endurance chambers. Students were introduced to the experimental base of the Institute and learned about current projects. In TsAGI’s Museum the young people learned about the history of the Institute, which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary.
The MIPT Winter School of physics and mathematics “Absolute Future” took place at MIPT in Dolgoprudny (Moscow Region) from January 28 through February 3, 2018. It is one of the stages in the student competition “I am a Professional.” The School program consists of lectures and visit s to leading research centers and high-tech companies. Together with TsAGI the School’s partners are the Joint Institute for nuclear research, Russian space systems, Kaspersky Lab and Mail.Ru Group. TsAGI Director General and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Chernyshev delivered his speech at the opening of the School on January 29. Participants of the school visited Zhukovsky on February 2. Their visit also included lectures at MIPT FALT and visits to the Scientific and Engineering Company.
