The fate of prominent aviation personalities, e.g., Tupolev, Petljakova, Sukhoy, Myasischev, Kamov, Mile and others are infused with the Institute. I am convinced that this project will assume a great social, cultural and patriotic significance. It will contribute to the popularization of aircraft creation among youth.”
The “Creators of aviation in Russia” is a unique architectural complex in the central square of Zhukovsky at Mayakovsky Street. It is Russia’s only historical monument dedicated to domestic aircraft designers. The complex consists of 16 bust monuments of key individuals in memory of the heroic deeds of the great aviation engineers who stood at the very beginnings of Russia’s aircraft industry.
